DENR could get $500,000 for shale analysis, if N.C. budget is approved

The state legislature’s budget, if passed by the House, would let state environmental regulators spend $500,000 on several energy-related projects, including the analysis of shale samples collected from southeastern Stokes County and three additional sites in other counties.
