Cumberland County to hold tobacco research referendum

Tobacco growers in Cumberland County will vote in November on whether they want to continue a self-taxing assessment program. The vote on the "Tobacco Research Referendum" is set for Nov. 19 at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Agriculture Center, 301 East Mountain Drive, the county said Wednesday.
