Some gill nets banned in NC waters because of sea turtles

Waters in three parts of North Carolina are closed to gill nets because of interaction with sea turtles. The state Department of Environmental Quality says waters in eastern Pamlico Sound and the northern part of Core Sound are closed to anchored, large-mesh gill nets.
