EEE found in Brunswick mosquitoes

Two pools of mosquitoes in Brunswick County tested positive last week for eastern equine encephalitis, or EEE. The N.C. State Laboratory of Public Health identified EEE in mosquitoes not known to bite humans, but that are responsible for spreading the disease in the wild bird population.
