Retiring N.C. senator wants tax change before he exits

Last week, state Sen. Bob Rucho (R-Mecklenburg) disclosed plans to retire from the General Assembly next year after nine terms. Rucho, 67, leads the senate finance committee and has been an influential advocate for reducing tax rates on companies and individuals.
