Apple variety block moves to new location

For three decades, a lot of slightly more than 1 acre was home to a dizzying variety of fruit trees. That changed last week, when Henderson County Cooperative Extension Service staff and volunteers dug up hundreds of the trees, marking the end of an era for the experimental growing area.
