Broiler-type chicks hatched during October 2015 totaled 755 million, down 1 percent from October 2014, according to USDA’s monthly Chicken and Eggs report.

Eggs in incubators totaled 608 million on Nov. 1, 2015, down 1 percent from a year ago.

Leading breeders placed 6.83 million broiler-type pullet chicks for future domestic hatchery supply flocks during October 2015, up slightly from October 2014.
