Warm temps have been good for mosquitoes, bad for some crops

The unseasonably warm weather will end with the year, as cooler temperatures are on tap Friday.
Daily high temperatures are expected to be in the mid 50s beginning with New Year's Day, which is the norm for the region's winter, according to the National Weather Service.
