Officials: County is obligated to turn farmland into park

Henderson County’s plans to convert 28 acres of farmland in Fletcher to a park have ruffled feathers in the agricultural community and among Mills River Town Council members, one of whom is currently leasing the property. But county officials contend the plans are needed to fulfill a legal obligation.
