US Rep. Patrick McHenry: Stopping egregious EPA overreach

This week, the House took another step to stop egregious overreach by the EPA with passage of S.J. Res 22, disapproving of the agency's waters of the US or WOTUS rule. This misguided rule would allow the EPA to regulate virtually every waterway in the United States, from the Mississippi River to puddles on farmland. This regulation places onerous mandates on farmers, drastically increasing agriculture costs. The resolution passed this week--which was previously passed by the Senate--blocks this ridiculous rule from taking effect. While the President might veto our action, the rule is currently being blocked from implementation as a federal court has deemed it unconstitutional.
