One incumbent and one first-time director have been elected to the AgCarolina Farm Credit Board of Directors by the cooperative’s voting stockholders.   Bundy Lane, Gates County, was re-elected and Jackie Thompson, Wake County, was elected as a new director.  Lane represents the counties of Camden, Currituck, Chowan, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans, while Thompson will represent Granville, Vance, and Wake counties.

The Raleigh based agricultural lending cooperative has 10 North Carolina farmers that serve on its Board, along with two outside directors.  The Board of Directors is responsible for directing and monitoring performance of the business and establishing policy for the cooperative.

“We are pleased to have Mr. Thompson join the Board and Mr. Lane back for another term,” said Ellis Taylor, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AgCarolina Farm Credit.  “Mr. Thompson will add an additional perspective to our board as we work to provide superior service to our stockholders and direct the financial activities of the Association.  Continuing efforts of Mr. Lane from his previous term will be an asset to stockholders of the Association,” Taylor added.
