Tunnel-grown strawberries are now available from local farmers.

Looking for something sweet for your special someone this Valentine’s Day? Look no further than your regional farmers market. The markets in Asheville, Colfax, Charlotte and Raleigh are open year-round, and have a great selection of special treats for your Valentine.

From N.C. wines and cheeses to fresh meats and produce, you can find all the ingredients you need to prepare a romantic dinner at home. Set the mood with handcrafted candles, and don’t forget the tunnel-grown strawberries and artisan chocolates. You also can pick up gifts such as handmade jewelry, woven and gourd baskets, essential oils and soaps.

If you’re in Charlotte this Saturday, stop by the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market where vendors will be giving away free sweet recipes for you to take home.
