Last October, U.S. Department of Agriculture entomologist Jonathan Lundgren stopped going to work and filed a whistleblower suit alleging that he was unfairly disciplined by the government. He claimed he was ordered to water-down or retract findings he said pointed to neonicotinoid pesticides as a major cause of health problems in bees.
