The deadline to apply for a $1,000 Linwood Singletary Memorial Scholarship is May 6. The scholarship is named for a lifelong Robeson County farmer who died in 1992. It is presented by the Robeson County Crop Promotion Association and is awarded to students who have shown a strong desire to pursue a career in agriculture.
