A Raleigh lawyer and former U.S. Marine has joined a crowded field for North Carolina's 2nd Congressional District.
John P. McNeil, a 48-year-old Democrat, filed Wednesday with the State Board of Elections, becoming the fifth person to enter that race under redrawn congressional maps.
