Sampson Independent - 4/13/16

The Sampson County Cooperative Extension Center, located one mile south of Clinton on US 421, will be the site this Saturday for an exciting day of fun, all to celebrate agriculture in Sampson County. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., there will be loads of learning opportunities, games and fun, demonstrations, and food. Those attending can learn how to milk a cow, candle an egg, plow a field, plant a garden, and much, much more. Attendees can also test their farming skills, strength, and knowledge by entering the Tough as a Farmer Contest. A free hot dog lunch will be provided by Smithfield Foods, along with free NC State “Howling Cow” ice cream, sponsored by Sampson County Farm Bureau. For more information or to get involved, call the Sampson County Extension Center at 910-592-7161.
