The NC Pork Council is proud to support youth in North Carolina's pork industry in many ways. Two of our featured programs are the internship and scholarship programs. Scholarships Each year, NCPC awards $1,000 scholarships to two deserving North Carolina agriculture students. To be eligible, an applicant must be an undergraduate or incoming freshman at either the community college or university level in North Carolina. The student must also be enrolled full-time in an agricultural curriculum of study. Deadline: May 9th
Internships The internship program promotes and develops an avenue for NCPC and NC pork producers to identify high school and college students who show an interest in pursuing a career in the NC pork industry.
The student internship program is intended to encourage pork producers and pork production companies to introduce students to a potential career in the pork industry.
The NCPC will provide funding to aid sponsorship of student interns who desire to work in a job within the NC pork industry. Deadline: April 25th
