Dear Friends of Scouting and Agriculture,
Please join us in honoring North Carolina Senator Brent Jackson with the Boy Scouts of America’s North Star Award for community service and involvement. This event will be attended by Ag Industry leaders throughout Duplin and Sampson counties as we celebrate a night where Ag leaders from every sector of the industry will come together to support our local Boy Scouts of America program.  NC State’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Associate Dean and Director for the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service Dr. Richard Bonanno will be there to dedicate a new agricultural patch that will be used to promote and recognize scouts who have an interest in the agricultural industry.

This is a dinner event, “Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders Through Scouting,”  June 2, 2016, Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center, Clinton

A VIP supporter reception will begin at 6:00 PM with the dinner and program following at 6:45 PM. There is no cost to join the dinner however there will be an opportunity for you to make your pledge to the Coharie District “Friends of Scouting” campaign.

Only 4 out of 100 boys in America will become Scouts, and yet of this nation’s leaders in business, religion, and politics, 3 out of 4 were Scouts! The Tuscarora Council, BSA is working hard to grow the next generation of leaders who will come out of the program, get the skills they need through higher education, then return home to live and serve their communities.

We hope you will honor the legacy Agriculture holds in our counties as well as the Scout program by joining us for this event and making a contribution to Scouting.

All proceeds will be used to support Scouting programs in Sampson and Duplin counties.  At a time when parents are searching for youth programs to instill values, build character, and strengthen personal fitness, Scouting continues to answer the call.
Please RSVP your response by email or call our local Scouting representative, Seth Bartosik at seth.bartosik@scouting.org or (919) 734-1714.
