Farmers plow into Syngenta in modified corn MDL

A group of corn farmers asked a Kansas federal judge last week to reject Syngenta’s bid to escape multidistrict litigation that claims the agribusiness giant’s promotion of genetically modified corn cost the industry upward of $1 billion, arguing that federal law doesn’t preempt the claims.
