Calcium deficiency in tobacco fields

Over the past week, calcium deficiency has been documented in select tobacco fields.  This deficiency is characterized by pointed leaf tips, downward cupping, and/or hooded leaves in the new growth.  This deficiency is most commonly observed just prior to topping since root growth declines due to the transition from vegetative to reproductive growth.
