Local furniture maker sends benches to FDR historic site

Lawn furniture is something of a modern convenience. During the late 1800s and early 1900s when President Franklin D. Roosevelt and his family were living at their home in Hyde Park, New York, they didn't have folding chairs with sun shades and built-in cup holders, so they carried furniture from the mansion onto the lawn.
