Ahold and Delhaize to sell 61 Food Lion stores as part of their merger

Ahold and Delhaize have agreed to sell 61 Food Lion stores as part of their upcoming merger. None of them are in North Carolina. The two companies said in a statement late Wednesday they are selling a total of 86 of their U.S. grocery stores, representing 4.1 percent of their combined U.S. stores and 3.2 percent of their total net sales in 2015.
