Going into the growing season many southeastern producers decided against growing cotton; poor prices they said. Since that decision was made, a lot of things have happened to affect the grain and soybean markets…high national acreage, strong US dollar, the Brexit vote, weather, but in all that, cotton has remained steady, seemingly immune to it all.
