Just one day after Sen. Bernie Sanders took the stage with and endorsed Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, some of his North Carolina supporters are following his lead.

On Wednesday, two North Carolina delegates pledged to Sanders announced they are now endorsing Clinton to be the Democratic nominee. John Verdejo says he is confident that heading into the fall, Democrats will be united behind Clinton for president.

“More than hopeful.  And there is no doubt, no doubt, that there are going to be plenty, plenty of Sen. Sanders supporters that are going to work to make the Democrats united and to make it where Donald Trump has no part of the White House,” he said.

Verdejo says both Clinton and Sanders share a progressive vision for the country, and that there is more that unites than divides the party.
