CSX Corp. will build a cargo terminal in eastern North Carolina at a second-choice site after opposition by landowners blocked the railroad company's first option. Officials said Tuesday that CSX will build its intermodal cargo hub in Edgecombe County, near the Virginia border. The terminal would transfer cargo stored in containers between CSX railroad cars and ships leaving North Carolina ports.
