New FDA tobacco regulations stir help, harm debate

The Food and Drug Administration is forging ahead with implementing a controversial set of new regulations on tobacco and nicotine products. The rules, made official May 5, are set to go into effect Aug. 8 for electronic cigarettes, vaporizers, cigars, hookahs (water pipes), pipe tobacco, nicotine gels and certain dissolvables.
