Area anglers reported a pretty good week of fishing despite soaring temperatures. Inshore fishermen continued to report catches of red drum, flounder, sheepshead, black drum and some speckled trout. Surf and pier fishermen are catching pinfish, croakers and bluefish. Spanish mackerel are still being caught along the beaches and around the inlets, with some small king mackerel mixed in.
