USDA: Corn slips to 74% good/excellent; soybeans stay at 72%

Corn’s condition rating dropped 2 points in the latest week to 74% good to excellent due to downgrades in Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, South Dakota and Missouri, while soybeans were unchanged at 72%, USDA said on Monday.
Based on the drop in corn’s condition ratings, Farm Futures lowered its calculated corn yield to 173.4 bpa from last week’s 175.8.
