Cornell researchers get $5M to create market for East Coast-grown broccoli

Researchers at Cornell University are getting more than $5 million in taxpayer-funded federal grants to create a market for broccoli grown on the East Coast. A new grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) aims to bolster small-scale broccoli growers so they can “compete with the best in the world in production efficiency and quality,” according to the project summary.
