Plan seeks to protect farmland in southeast Cumberland County

The Cumberland County Joint Planning Board signed off Tuesday on a land-use plan for the southeastern part of the county that calls for the area to maintain its rural character. The Southeast Cumberland Land Use Plan covers the area bordered by N.C. 210 South, the Bladen County line, the South River and the Cape Fear River.
