Candidates for some down-ballot North Carolina Council of State positions will get statewide audiences this fall thanks to televised debates in which they've agreed to participate.  The North Carolina Institute of Political Leadership said Tuesday debates will be held on three successive weeks in September — one each for lieutenant governor, attorney general and state treasurer.
