The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration recently released their mid-season Atlantic hurricane forecast, and Corey Davis, Applied Climatologist with the State Climate Office says there really weren’t any changes from earlier forecasts: “The latest forecast from NOAA still calls for about a one in three chance for an above normal hurricane activity this season, it’s about a 50/50 shot of near normal activity."
