Kandus Passig and her husband, Harold Passig, moved to Oak Hill eight years ago after seeing and buying a house in the Oak Hill community of Caldwell County online. They had planned to retire and relax, but by the time Kandus Passig had been here a year, she had had enough of relaxing and decided it was time to bring her Michigan career as a farmer back to life in the rolling hills of North Carolina.
