The first Knott’s Tobacco warehouse was started in Kinston in 1901 by Henry T. Knott and George W. Knott. The currently-operating Knott’s warehouse was founded in 1948 by Graham Knot Jr.’s father, Henry Graham Knott, and was initially known as “Knott’s New Warehouse.”Graham Knott Jr., 61, is the owner/operator of Knott’s Tobacco warehouse in Kinston and a tobacco farmer as well.
