North Carolina’s Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler recently announced that his department was the recipient of a $5.3 million grant, to be distributed over five years, from the Food & Drug Administration to help farmers, especially produce farmers, comply with the new Food Safety Modernization Act  regulations.
