Text of StoryInternational Textile Group, Inc., the Greensboro-based fabric maker, has been acquired by Platinum Equity, an investment group founded by billionaire Tom Gores. ITG was formed out of the assets of the former Burlington Industries and the former Cone Mills in the early 2000s.
