Despite a slow start, the 2016 NC State Fair hosted more than one million people this year.  While many were, and still are dealing with the after affects of Hurricane Matthew, NC Ag Commissioner Steve Troxler says many told him there was no better time for the fair, it gave them an opportunity to escape their troubles, even for a little while.
