AgCarolina Farm Credit announces the member-owned cooperative will host agricultural economic update sessions in Rocky Mount and Williamston on December 8th and 9th respectively.

AgCarolina is pleased to present Dr. Blake Brown, Hugh C. Kiger Professor and Extension Economist in Agricultural and Resource Economics at North Carolina State University, as the leader of the discussion about the current and future trends in agriculture economics.

Two separate events are scheduled to offer the opportunity for maximum attendance.  A dinner event will be held on Thursday, December 8th at 6:30 p.m. at Brown Auditorium on the campus of Nash Community College in Rocky Mount.  A lunch event will be held on Friday, December 9th at 12:00 noon at the Senator Bob Martin Eastern Agricultural Center in Williamston.  RSVPs are requested by Wednesday, November 30th to jbledsoe@agcarolina.com or by calling (919) 250-9500 ext. 393.

“The agriculture industry is particularly volatile to commodity and market fluctuations,” states AgCarolina President & CEO Dave Corum.  “Hosting events like these enable AgCarolina customers to interact with experts in agricultural economics.  Dr. Blake Brown has always been a great asset for us at Farm Credit to help our members understand the current economic environment, as well as a glimpse into the future as they make plans for their operations.”
