The wildfires threatening thousands of acres in the mountains of western North Carolina are not expected to have an impact on Christmas tree sales, an industry leader says. “At this time, I am unaware of any Christmas trees farms directly affected or in danger of current wildfires,” Jennifer Greene, executive director of the North Carolina Christmas Tree Association in Boone, said last week.
