Two North Carolina soda companies will become one. Salisbury-based Carolina Beverage Corporation, the maker of Cheerwine, has bought Concord-based Sun Drop Bottling.  According to the Salisbury Post, some Sun Drop employees were laid off, others transferred to Carolina Beverage.
