Members of the far-right House Freedom Caucus voted Monday night to elect Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) as its next chairman. Meadows will take the leadership post from Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). In a statement Monday night, Meadows said he is “honored and humbled” to be picked for the role.
