It will take several more rainfalls with multiple inches of rain to bring the region completely out of the drought that has plagued it for more than a month. After weeks without any measurable rainfall, the area has experienced a handful of showers over the past several days, but it hasn’t been enough, according to Scott Krentz, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
