Some time in the early 1700s the Province of Carolina split into two colonies called North Carolina and South Carolina. Three centuries later, the border between the now states is finally official. Gov. Pat McCrory signed Executive Order 118 this week finalizing the boundary line between the state of North Carolina and South Carolina from Polk County to Brunswick County.
