A Bill to Help Small Businesses & Entrepreneurs
Small businesses and entrepreneurs play a vitally important role in the American economy, especially here in western North Carolina. Yet today, our sluggish economy and misguided Washington regulations have restricted their growth. During my time in Congress, I've worked to change that and this week we took another important step with House passage of H.R. 6427, the Creating Financial Prosperity for Businesses and Investors Act.
H.R. 6427 includes two of my bills that passed the House earlier this year: H.R. 4854, the Supporting America's Innovators Act and H.R. 4855, the Fix Crowdfunding Act. Both of these bills make it easier for small businesses and entrepreneurs to utilize innovative forms of capital formation--investment crowdfunding and angel investing--to grow their ideas.
