A little irrigation makes a big difference in corn yields

On Friday, we heard from NC State Extension Corn Specialist Dr. Ron Heiniger on the 2916 corn crop.  While certainly more than respectable and consistent, Heiniger says a little water stress in June kept the crop from being extra large:“Some very interesting findings here…we certainly got some of the job done, as far as building a good corn crop, but we just need to find the second piece in this thing..."
