NC lawmakers advance $201M disaster relief bill

North Carolina’s lawmakers plan to spend more than $200 million to help communities and people suffering from Hurricane Matthew, other recent storms and the state’s western wildfires. And in an interview with reporters, Republican state House Speaker Tim Moore said he would not support using this disaster-relief lawmaking session to add to justices to the state Supreme Court.
