Consider stature when choosing a corn hybrid

We’ve been talking to NC State Extension Corn Specialist Dr. Ron Heiniger about the good, the bad, and the ugly regarding the 2016 corn crop.  Heiniger says overall, it was a good crop, with more consistent yields than most producers are accustomed to.  But, what was missing was some of the really big yields, like in the 300’s.  Heiniger says he attributes that to moisture and heat stress in June:
