Veterinary feed directive deadline approaching

In less than a month, major changes will take place in the way livestock producers administer medically-important antibiotics to food-producing animals. Effective January 1, 2017, a veterinarian must write a veterinary feed directive before a producer can buy antibiotics to be administered in feed or water.
