Five months after announcing a strategy shift, Louis Renjel, vice president of strategic infrastructure at Jacksonville, Florida-based CSX, says the transportation giant’s plans for eastern North Carolina are accelerating. CSX just held its second community open house, he says. And it’s readying to turn the options the Carolinas Gateway Partnership had obtained for parcels in Edgecombe County into acquisitions, something he hopes happens in the first few months of 2017.
