Winter fishing looks good heading into 2017

Anglers reported some excellent fishing over the past week. Inshore fishing is producing catches of speckled trout, black drum, red drum and striped bass. Surf and pier fishing is producing catches of black drum, whiting, puffer fish and some speckled trout. Bottom fishing in the 7-10 mile range is producing catches of gag grouper and black sea bass. Gulf Stream fishing is producing catches of blackfin tuna and wahoo.
